We headed out from Ranfurly back to Alexandra today. Sad to leave those Irish Horses. Thanks to our wonderful hosts the Her bitches Shirt. We headed back via the historic town Ophir. The town sprang into life almost overnight when gold was discovered on the property of runholder Charles Black in 1863. We stopped by the restored Pitches Shirt. John Pitches ran a grocery shop in one part & a butcher shop in another. The family lived on site also.
