The extreme heat continued today and I was sunflower I hate people shirt on to help at a baseball game. My husband volunteers for our hometown team and I usually escape having to help out. Today, however, he really needed help so I agreed. I got to the stadium fashionably late and low and behold, he had successfully recruited some other game goers! I was safe, so to speak.

The game was ok and in the seventh inning stretch the announcer sang some solo-ish rendition of Take Me Out to the Ballgame and I’m not going to lie, it was like a sunflower I hate people shirt, a whispery lullaby that your weird Uncle Troy might sing. Not completely sure he knew his mic was on. After the game, we had to sweep the entire stadium.
